I need the registry key product information for Microsoft Office 2016.
For office 2016 there is no registry key "Registration" under 16.0.
I have Office 2013 and upgraded to office 2016 with new license key. But When I scan it is says Office 2013 product not the Office 2016.
Please let me know If any one knows the exact path for checking the DigitalProductID for Office 2016.
Probably not. Microsoft uses a one-way hash function to encrypt the key that's stored in the registry. I'm honestly surprised you were able to pull a 2013 product key, since it uses the same mechanism.
In short, unless you're Microsoft, you won't be able to retrieve it. You should be able to grab it from Microsoft if you linked it with an email address:
Also, Belarc Advisor isn't licensed for commercial use. I doubt you want to pay for BelManage, since the cheapest package starts at $1800.
Even the last handful of digits from the product key is debatable. It could just be me, but I've never got the last few recovered characters to ever match up with a registered product... having said that, the online registration and key management process now seems such an ungodly disaster, I usually give up and put in an order for a new one.. I think it usually works out cheapr..
Thanks for everyone for replying..
For Office 2013, registry path for product key verification is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Registration\DigitalProductID
After upgrading from Office 2013 to Office 2016, I could not find the registry path HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Registration\DigitalProductID for Office 2016.
Whereas I'm seeing the registry path of Office 2013 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Registration\DigitalProductID
Is there any registry changes for the Office 2016 for detecting the product key.
